New in 1.2.3
Fingerpaint, right on camera.
Fingerpaint
Point with your index finger and paint straight onto your camera image. No mouse, no tablet. Hold ⌃ to arm Fingerpaint, then hold D to drop the brush and release to lift it between strokes.
Your ink tracks your fingertip in the mirrored preview and goes out clean to everyone on the call. Pick any color from the palette, and strokes stay pinned until you clear them.
From 1.2
Bring a 3D model. Draw and type in color.
3D model
Drop in a USDZ and move it around the frame.
Color
Pick a color for ink and chyrons from a nine-hue palette.
From 1.1
Mark it up. Type on it. Swap it out.
Draw
Sketch markup over the slide for quick corrections.
Type
Type over the deck. T to start and stop.
Swap
Switch sources mid-call without breaking the stream.
The shift
Until now
You share your screen. Your face shrinks to a corner. You option-tab to the deck, click forward, lose your place, apologize. Whoever's watching stares at a cursor for forty minutes.
With Hovercraft
You stay on camera. Your slide sits next to you, big and legible. You reach up, pinch it, move it where you want it. You never stop talking. No clicker. No option-tab. No moment where you lose the room.
Using it
One gesture. A few keys. Anything you can show.
In your video app
Hovercraft is a camera, not a screen share. In Zoom, Meet, Teams, or FaceTime, open the video settings and choose Hovercraft as your camera. Your composite becomes your video feed. Don't share the Hovercraft window. If it doesn't show up right after installing, fully quit the video app (⌘Q) and reopen it.
Pinch
Reach up and grab the slide window out of the air. Move it wherever you want it in the frame.
Scale
Same pinch. Move your hand toward the camera to enlarge, away to shrink.
