Lila Downs, Live from East LA

Lila Downs, a three-time Grammy award winning singer and songwriter, will perform a live set in an immersive venue for the Theater visionOS app.

Described by the New York Times as having “multiple voices, from an airborne near-falsetto down to a forthright alto and a sultry, emotive contralto”, Ms. Downs has headlined many of the world’s biggest stages, from Walt Disney Hall to Carnegie Hall.

On Oct 14, 2024, Indigenous People's Day, the Oaxacan-born artist will perform with her band live from the Nest Recorders studio in East LA, on the Theater app for visionOS.

The intimate presentation will be transmitted in immersive 3D video, Atmos audio and will include a short sit-down interview with the artist.

Chris Sorem, 2x Grammy winner, will be the sound engineer. The stream will be transmitted by SpatialGen.

Theater is a product of Sandwich Vision, a new California-based company developing quality immersive experiences for Apple visionOS.
